The Wedding Makeover: Month Four
Welcome back to my blog! It’s been a minute since I’ve written a post — life has been pretty crazy recently. I had my third blog post in the “editing” stage for a whole month, but one thing after another kept coming up and I wasn’t able to get it out. So, here we are with a month four update!
I’m happy to say that we had our engagement pictures, and guess what…they turned out AMAZING! Our photoshoot date, which was Oct. 10th, was my first benchmark for this fitness journey. I told Travis back in August that I wanted to love those pictures and love how I looked in them. Now, I didn’t have a drastic body change in that small amount of time, but I was putting in the work and I saw some great results by the time we took the photos. Now that pictures are done, save the dates have been mailed, and some vendors have been booked, now I can take a minute and relax.
Unfortunately, that’s not happening. These last two months have been so busy, some weeks my head is just spinning. Between work events, getting a new puppy, and just life in general — I’m exhausted! And it doesn’t end there…the holidays season is now upon us. Every weekend in December is booked up for me, honestly. With the busy schedule and trying to stay on track with my fitness, I’ve had some big anxiety. The holidays happen to be a time when food, particularly highly processed and sugary foods, are the star of every single gathering. All of the treats, hot chocolate, cookies, and so many others are nearly impossible to avoid. This reality has given me some fear about how I’m going to handle this period of time while also maintaining my health. Travis told me recently that during the holidays, people typically gain one pound and that pound never comes off…ever. He told me the holidays are a time when staying consistent and pushing forward is vital to my progress.
